9 Months old...

Taylor is now 9 months old and I've been horrible at keeping up with this blog. She's everywhere now. She's crawling, pulling up on things, cruising along furniture, we guess she'll be walking very soon. She doesn't really care for baby food any more, she loves grilled cheese sandwiches, fish sticks and pancakes. She's such a sweet little girl but she has a temper (I don't know where she gets that from :) I've posted some pictures and videos below.

Trying to Catch Up...

I apologize that it has taken me so long to post anything on here. Our computer has had a major virus and I haven't been able to do anything. We're all doing good. Taylor will be 5 months tomorrow. She now weighs 14 lbs and is 24.5 inches long. The doctor says that her head size and height are average but her weight is in the 33rd percentile, but she's catching up. She's teething now, she's been chewing and drooling for a couple months now. She has now discovered that she can scream and does it a lot just for attention. She has also discovered her feet and is trying to figure out how she can fit them along with both hands into her mouth at the same time. She's growing up way too fast. She's such a good baby and we are so blessed and grateful to have such a beautiful little girl. Hope all is well with everyone. I promise I will try and be better with this.

6-9 weeks!!!

Unfortunately I started back to work last week. We are so lucky and grateful to have Michael's mom, Kathy to keep Taylor while we work. Her Uncle Corey loves her and wants to hold her as much as possible and has to sing her to sleep. She's grown a lot. We think she weighs around 10lb but we'll find out for sure Monday at her 2mth checkup. She's smiling a lot lately and tries so hard to hold her head up and she LOVES her baths.

4 & 5 weeks!!!

So we had our 1 month doctor's appointment last Friday. She weighed a whopping 7lb 4oz. She's getting to be a little chunky monkey now!!! She's so much fun! Below is a few pictures. I love the sunglassed picture, we were playing around in Target. Michael is a huge Penn State fan so of course she has several outfits for gameday!!!

Taylor had her first doctor's appointment on Monday. He said that she is doing amazingly well. She weighed 4lb 10.5oz, which is good because she lost down to 4lb 9oz before we went home. They had to do a heel stick to check her bilirubin and she hated that and it broke my heart. i wanted to strangle the lab tech. Her bilirubin was great. The doctor seems to think that she is doing so well because we have the same blood type and breastfeeding is going so good. We'll see him again next week. Taylor is so precious to us! She's an absolute joy! My stepdad took these pictures below and some that I posted earlier.

Taylor was born Tuesday Aug 5, 2008 at 9:44pm. She weighed 4lbs 15oz and measured 18.5in long. After laboring for almost 24 hrs and no progress she was delivered by c-section. The love that we have for her is amazing. I cry several times a day just looking at her. I can't believe we made something that precious. Her daddy is madly in love with her and I can't put into words just how much we love her. She is absolutely precious. Even though she was 4 weeks early and small she is doing great, she was able to stay in the room with me throughout our hospital stay and she came home with us on Friday. We're now getting into the routine of breastfeeding, sleeping, pooping, peeing, etc... but we're loving every minute of it! She is so sweet and so tiny. Thanks for all of your support throughout the pregnancy. We look forward to you meeting our little girl!!!

It's Time!!!

So I had one of my two a week doctor's appointments this morning. My blood pressure is horrible 158/113 and I have +3 protein in my urine. Therefore, I will be induced tonight starting at 8pm. I'm now 36 weeks exactly. I'm scared, nervous, anxious, etc... I took a couple of steroid shots a couple of weeks ago to help mature her lungs just in case I had to deliver early. Hopefully everything will be fine. Last thursday the ultrasound said she weighed 5lb 5oz, so we'll see. I will keep everyone updated... I also have shower pictures that I've been meaning to put up. I've posted one, of course my eyes are closed from laughing at my husband. This was a couple's shower and they made us wear these ribbons... It was fun!!!

Almost There!!!

I thought I would give an update since I haven't posted one in a while. I am now almost 33 weeks pregnant and am HOT & MISERABLE!!! I went to the doctor this past monday and he went ahead and put me on maternity leave because my blood pressure has decided to sky rocket and I had started to dilate. Well as stubborn as I am I decided to work the rest of my schedule for the week at Huntsville Hospital. This in turn lead me to labor & delivery Tuesday night with contractions. They gave me 2 shots of terbutaline to finally stop them. My blood pressure once again was horrible. I followed up with the doctor thursday in his office. He measured me and said the reason I was probably so miserable and my blood pressure so elevated was due to her measuring 38 WEEKS!!! I am a rather short person, there is not much room for her to go. He said she is just a BIG baby!!! REALLY??? The doctor told me that I definetly would not make it to my delivery date of 40 weeks and it was very unlikely that I will make it to 38 weeks. We are going to do everything that we can to keep her in until Aug 18, I will officially be 38 weeks then. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I will do my best to keep you updated!!! I've also posted a 4D picture of her from a couple of weeks ago. She would not cooperate....

So, we finally know we're having a girl! My official due date is Sept 1, but she's measuring a couple weeks ahead of schedule so I'm fine with the end of August. She's moving a lot now and it's a wonderful feeling to know that she's there! I did pick the bedding out for her nursery and I've posted a picture below. Now the hard part is deciding on a name. If you have any suggestions please feel free to send me a message. I'll keep you updated on any changes...

13 weeks

We saw the doctor again on Thurs 2/28. Everything seems to be going very well. The baby is measuring about a week ahead of schedule. The heart rate was 176. It still amazes me to see how much it grows in a month. We'll go back on the 27th of March and will possibly be able to find out the sex. I still feel that it is a boy, but we'll be happy with a boy or a girl. Luckily the morning, or in my case, "all day" sickness went away about 2 weeks ago, and I hope that it stays far far away...

9 weeks!!!

We had our 9 week ultrasound and check up today! Everything looks great!!! The baby's heartbeat (yes, there is just one) was 182. And he/she is very active. It brought tears to my eyes. I can't believe how much it changed in 3 weeks. We go back on Feb 28th for another check up. We'll keep you updated. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Finally!!! We're pregnant! This was our first ultrasound at 6 weeks. The one on the right is a definite heartbeat and the one on the left is still a possibility. We'll go back on the 28th of this month for a better look. By then, I'll be 9 weeks...
